Research Interests
My research sits at the intersection of biogeochemistry, sedimentary geology, and soil science. I study both modern and fossil soils (paleosols) in order to understand how the Earth's critical zone has evolved throughout geologic history and how soils will respond to future land-use and climate change.
Current research interests include:
1) The impact of soils on global biogeochemical cycles
2) Using soil gas compositions to study and characterize below ground processes
3) Understanding how soils and continental environments have evolved throughout geologic history
